Preparation and Compressive Experimental Study of Magnetorheological Elastomers
Abstract：In order to explore the factors affecting the compressive mechanical properties of magnetorheological elastomers,four kinds of magnetorheological elastomers with different carbonyl iron powder mass fractions were prepared.Carbonyl iron powder with random distribution and chain-like distribution's magnetorheological elastomers were also prepared.The magneto-mechanical coupling test system was developed by adding magnetics to a material testing machine.A quasi-static compression experiment on magnetorheological elastomers was conducted.The experimental results show:with the same magnetic flux density,magnetorheological elastomers with larger carbonyl iron powder mass fraction have larger compressive modulus;with the same carbonyl iron powder mass fraction,the compressive modulus of magnetorheological elastomer increases along with the increase of the experimental magnetic flux density;the compressive modulus of magnetorheological elastomers with chainlike distributed carbonyl iron powder increases more quickly than magnetorheological elastomers with random distributed carbonyl iron powder,along with the increase of the experimental magnetic flux density.
